Volunteers at the Heart of our Mission

Stop Hunger’s impact is driven by a dedicated network of volunteers, the majority of whom come from the Sodexo and Pluxee ecosystem. We rely on the passion and dedication of our volunteers - they make our work possible. Whether helping with food drives, fundraising, (hands-on volunteering) or sharing their skills (skills based volunteering)  to support our NGO partners, their efforts and time make a real difference.

Servathon

Servathon is a Stop Hunger global signature campaign, which stands for "Serve a ton" [of food] and "Service marathon".

This annual initiative, which takes place between April and June, mobilises volunteers across the world to collect and distribute food items to food banks and communities in need.

It's a great opportunity for our ecosystem (Sodexo and Pluxee teams, clients and partners) to come together, organize engaging events, and take collective action.

Small Acts of Goodness

The Small Acts of Goodness Campaign is a global volunteer and donation initiative that brings hope and support to individuals and families facing hardship during the year-end holiday season. Through simple but powerful acts of kindness, we aim to spread joy when it’s needed most.

Volunteers can get involved by organizing and managing donation collections, helping deliver parcels to local NGOs, or contributing through financial or gift donations.

YEAH! Missions (Your Engagement Against Hunger)

Stop Hunger and World Food Programme (WFP) YEAH! Missions are skills-based volunteering programs that allow Sodexo experts to bring their knowledge and expertise to the field on local or international missions. They provide incredible experiences which benefit all stakeholders.

Volunteers bring skills across a wide range of areas, including nutrition, culinary training, hygiene and food safety, purchasing, logistics, IT systems, communication, and quality, safety & environment

In collaboration with the WFP, YEAH! missions also play a key role in strengthening school meal programs by supporting local cooks through technical training and upskilling.
